WE - The Rise of Women Entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship is growing in India, and although the numbers of startups led by women founders are still very few, the trend is fast changing. More and more women are now taking the plunge into entrepreneurship, breaking through the barriers – real and imagined, to lead big enterprises. Women leaders are naturally good at multi-tasking and building relationship with people, but it takes a lot more to make it big in the world of business. With India making news around the world with its burgeoning startup ecosystem, there’s a great need to encourage and support more women to step out of their comfort zones, and be part of the positive change that the country is witnessing right now.
What are some of the prominent women- led startups in the country? What can we learn from these successful women founders, and how can we apply the knowledge to encourage more women to startup? What mentorship options are available to the aspiring women entrepreneurs? Featuring a line-up of renowned women entrepreneurs in India, and answering these and many other questions, Headstart's March edition of Startup Saturday will be celebrating “The Rise of Women Entrepreneurship.” With one common theme, and events happening in 10 major cities(Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune and Kochi), this is going to be one event that you cannot afford to miss.
